The Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, (LP) Datti Baba-Ahmed have visited London to pay tribute to the late Britain’s longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.

Naija News earlier reported that the Queen died at the age of 96 on Thursday evening, 8th September 2022.

Her doctors had earlier expressed concern on the state of her health while her family had gathered at Balmoral Castle in Scotland where she was placed under medical supervision.

However, hours later, Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch passed away in the afternoon at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Emotions ran high around the globe, as thousands of people arrived at the gates of Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Sandringham and Windsor Castle to pay their last tribute to the queen by laying flowers.

Joining the throng of a crowd, is Baba Datti who was captured striking a pose whilst carrying a bunch of flowers at the Buckingham Palace.

The photos were greeted with mixed reactions from Nigerians who condemned Datti for sharing a smile during his tribute to the late queen.

Bazz High wrote; ‘Everybody na the same if you check am well.’
